Sue Sam – Yesu Aye (Official Music Video)

Ghanaian gospel singer based in the United Kingdom (UK), Suzie Afari Sampson popularly known as Sue Sam, has released a brand new track titled ‘Yesu Aye’.

The Luton based singer has released the single as a thanksgiving rendition to God for all His blessings upon her life.

‘Yesu Aye’, meaning ‘Jesus has done it’, is a song of gratitude. Sue calls on all persons who feel the goodness of God in their lives to join in showing appreciation to the Most High God.

Sue Sam has been a constant name in Ghanaian gospel music for over 3 decades. Starting out as a chorister and backup singer, she started her solo career in recent years, releasing her first album, ‘Gratitude’, in 2016.

A product of Aburi Girls Secondary School, Sue Sam was a recipient of the Head of State Award (HOSA) in 2002/2003 as a bronze medalist. As a music aficionado, she also rose through the ranks to the position of assistant music director for Calvary Road Incorporated (CRI) which rocked gospel songs both on and off campus.

She proceeded from Aburi to Regent University, where she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance with French.

During her time at the university, she was nominated and served as one of the music directors of the university mass choir and in addition being later elected president of the Stott Society to serve for 2 terms due to her commitment, hard work and good leadership skills.

After working in the banking sector in Ghana for many years, she relocated to the United Kingdom and properly launched her career. Sue also works as a nurse in the U.K.

Prior to that, she worked with Ghana Society UK as secretary / personal assistant to Ms Maria Lovell, who is now the mayor of Luton.

According to Sue Sam who was born on 28th June, her family has been the biggest influence on her music career. She says that, at the tender age, her mother used to take her to church at The Light of Life Gospel Mission, where she started singing. At around age seven, she joined the Triumphant Voices under the tutelage of Mr. Yaw Ansah Sasraku (now the CEO of Highlife Radio in the USA); with the support of Reverend Prince Afari Mintah and Pastor Paa Kwesi Plange.

Looking into the future Sue Sam says her vision is to pursue a dual career in music and nursing and follow the footsteps of gospel music icons such as Tagoe Sisters, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Mary Ghansah etc.

She is confident that “Yesu Aye” will take Ghana by storm and catapult her into a household name in Ghana gospel music.

Sue Sam currently worships at the Inspirational Charismatic Church (ICC) Luton branch under the leadership of Rev. & Mrs. Adu-Gyamfi.
