Perpetual Nhyiraba who made her presence known in Global Gospel industry in 2006 with her debut album Osoro Telephone number has announced her latest Album titled Menhyira Nie, featuring Broda Sammy which literally translates ‘This is my blessing’. The album has 8 tracks on it which will be launched in 7 months time.
Fast rising Gospel sensation Perpetual Nhyiraba was born in Kumasi (Adum) to be precise and an active Member of the Church of Pentecost in Canada (Hamilton District branch) for some years now.
The incredibly gifted songstress was born to the late Mr. Douglas Addai and Mrs. Nana Ama Konadu.
The Gospel Icon passion for music all started when she was age 9years where she started singing in her grandmother’s church called Pentecostal Believers Gospel Church.
She then went on to reside with her aunties at stadium where she started worshipping at their church called Calvary Reformed Methodist Church and they also recognized her talent and encouraged her to join their church band which she did.
Perpetual Nhyiraba relocated to Canada to reside with her Mom but never gave up her singing Ministry.
She continued ministering at church programs, weddings and other special events until now. Music has always been her passion.
“I chose Gospel Music as my musical career because I was born and raised in a family with a Christian background so I’ve always been surrounded by the Gospel of Jesus Christ therefore it became my lifestyle from my adolescent years until now. I believe in God in his word and therefore, I can only relate and sing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” she told GospelEmpireGh.Com in an interview.
When asked by GospelEmpireGh.Com about her thoughts on current Ghanaian Gospel industry, she said: “My thoughts on current Ghanaian Gospel industry are that we shouldn’t forget our culture and the authenticity in our native languages. Many Gospel musicians are trying to divert and appear as international musicians to please people but I believe music is something that’s spiritually emotional and can be understood by anyone who get inspiration from music so we should stick to our form of Diaspora music regardless of the language being used. God can hear our worship in any form of language and be worshipped in any language. We can also make the foreigners to be spiritually filled inspired and understanding from our local dialect music by the deep passion we use to deliver our songs. Secondly, our goal should be based on reaching souls for Christ and singing about his goodness and salvation. Thirdly, our dressing should match the message we’re preaching to the audience. Gospel musicians should set an example of decency in our dressing. The worldly people must learn from us the proper of dressing.”
Perpetual has in her possession Diploma in SSW & DSW from Sheridan College in Canada. She is also a social service worker graduate as well as a Developmental Service worker, aside from her music career.
