Spread The Love

Gospel musicians Noble Nketsiah and Jack Alolome have condemned their fellow gospel musician Bro Sammy for a controversial music video in which the psalmist is heard using invectives and insulting lyrics in a song that has gone viral.

According to Jack, Noble, even though he mentioned no name, the content and lyrics of the song appear to be an attack on another person he accused of being a gossip.

The song titled “Nipa hunu” or riff-raff has since generated huge controversy with many challenging the very essence of gospel music.

Part of the song, says, only the foolish spew rubbish. It also states that no rich man finds time to gossip, asserting that only the poor gossip.

Reacting to the track that has sparked controversy on social media, Noble Nketsiah, who rubbished the song, in an interaction with JoyNews MzGee, labelled the track as unworthy to be gospel.

I have the song, I will not endorse it. When I heard it I was very disappointed especially from where I am coming from, we give hope to the people. We give inspiration to the people, you cannot call someone you want to give hope to, a stupid person. How do you expect that person to take anything else you say? he said.

I will not encourage anybody else to do same. It is not a good song and it cannot be classified as a gospel song because Christ came to give even the hopeless hope, Noble Nketsiah, who is out with Meto after a long break, added.

Fellow gospel musician Jack Alolome also agreed the song is in bad taste.

I don’t know who he has a problem with. I listened to the song and it was in bad taste. Let’s be sincere gospel is not for casting insinuations. The people he is insulting are the same people he is selling the gospel to, he said.

If the person is of the world, your song should reform them but insulting them won’t help the situation. I want to believe it’s a joke, said theGod Will Make a Way hitmaker.
