Meet Fast Rising Ghanaian Singer, Lady Christus
Christiana Ankomah simply known by her stage name as Lady Christus, has released her much anticipated new album – ‘Gyata Bi Ba’ which literally means Lion of Judah’s Child, under Christus Productions.
The 10 track album produced by the sensational Ghanaian Gospel Songstress, is now available.
Having released successful gospel songs over the years such as ‘Wagye Me Ogyan’ with an exceptional video, Lady Christus kept improving and impressing everyone with such a unique music ministry and gifting.
From a very humble beginning in Central Region, Agona Nyakrom as a member of Methodist Church South Suntreso Kumasi, Lady Christus has gone through the mill to become the toast of several Christians and gospel music lovers in Ghana and beyond.
She is born to John Ankomah and Comfort Korankye.
With a possession of Degree in theology at Christian Service University College Kumasi, Lady Christus is an intensely spiritual woman who serves as a local Preacher and Steward at Methodist Church South Suntreso – Kumasi.
“I chose Gospel music because of my Christian background. When I was young, I just had the passion to create my own gospel tunes and I sing them.
At a point, I gave up, but the power of my dream sired me up. Hence, she stood strong,” she told GospelEmpireGh.Com in an interview.
During the 2015, at age 19, Lady Christus joined the Redemption Voice Choir (Redemption Chapel) and also Adesgate Voices (Methodist Church) the same year.
Lady Christus has two albums to her credit Ebeye Yie 2016 (It is well) and Gyata Bi Ba (Lion of Judah’s Child) 2018 on which she has the hit track Wagye me Ogyan.
Her latest hit ‘Gyata Bi Ba’ currently enjoys massive play on radio.
It’s a danceable song that talks about the protection of the Lion of Judah in our lives.
“I had to do a 3 days dry fast about Gyata Bi Ba album because I wanted to be led and wanted to lean on the Holy spirit about Gyata Bi Ba album. Album launch date would be announced soon,” she added.
The inspiration of the song was taken from revelations 5 verse 5. Christ is the “lion of the tribe of Judah” which means He is the ultimate, true, and eternal King.
She has over the years collaborated closely and ministered on several platforms with his close sisters in ministry, Salome Nketia, Doreen Asiamah Yeboah, among several others.
She also has performed on TV3 Music Music when she released her 2016 album Ebeye Yie.
Her ministry is to use music as a tool to win the lost at all cost as it was messiah’s last charge to his disciples to preach the message of the Kingdom to the rest of the world.
