Get Familiar with US-based Ivorian Gospel Musician, Debby K

Debby K is an emerging US-based Ivorian gospel musician born and raised in Cote D’ivoire. Debby and her four siblings (2 girls and 2 boys) all grew up as active members of the Church of Pentecost in Ivory Coast.

Debby developed a passion for singing at age of 6 in their local Sunday school choir, eventually making a quick transition into the youth choir of the church.

During these times, Debby and her equally gifted siblings decided to form a family gospel music band. 

With the help of their parents, they flourished through many years of singing and ministering to local churches. Debby K lived in a family filled with love and music.

Eventually, the beautiful singer moved to Abidjan, the capital city of Ivory Coast, where she joined the alliance Française choir of Treichville in Abidjan, then the national adult choir for the Church of Pentecost in Abidjan.

Because of her dedication and her passion for music, Debby was soon selected as one of the lead vocals for the choir.

In 1998, Debby K moved to Accra, Ghana’s capital, where she joined the French assembly of the church in Accra.  Over there too she was again selected as one of their lead vocals, as her gift of music manifested itself repeatedly.

Finally, Debby came to the US, and worshipped with the church of Pentecost international worship center in Virginia, where she was one of the founding members of the International Holy Warriors choir.

Her desire and passion for music has not decreased, as her song ministrations bring encouragement to many that are in need wherever she goes.

By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Debby released her first debut single titled “My Desire ” in 2017, and 4 more singles since.

This is Debby’s prayer that she will know The Lord more and more and understand His ways better so that through it all, she will live for Him and love Him deeply.

It is also her prayer for the world and you, that as you listen to her songs, the Lord Jesus Christ will draw you closer to Himself so that you can also experience Him in a more personal way and live for him.

Debby got married to Kouame Ignace in 2007 and moved to Houston Texas,USA in 2009 where she is still putting her gift to the use of the body of Christ. Debby and Mr. Kouame are blessed with 2 children, Kouame Alexander Kwincy Jatniel and Faith-Olivia Kouame.
