Revealed: Mensa Otabil exposed in plush US Real estate ownership worth $850,000
The head pastor and leader of International Central Gospel Church(ICGC) Dr. Mensa Otabil and his immediate family have been exposed by some new documents intercepted from Virginia showing the family’s ownership of plush mansions in the United States.
Pastor Mensa Otabil whose name has been on the lips of Ghana’s for his role as a board member of the now-defunct Capital Bank for diverting some GH¢610million the central bank had given them to stop the downward slide of the then-struggling bank.
Since the collapse of Capital and Sovereign Banks, several state institutions -including the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) – have been working to arrive at a comprehensive understanding of what happened and who was responsible for what; for which reason Dr. Otabil has been invited to respond to some queries.
Dr Otabil had sought to clear his name in the bank’s collapse, saying in a press release that he played a ‘non-executive’ role and so was not involved in its day-to-day running.
Well, in the documents intercepted concerning the ownership of some houses been owned by the respected man of God and One such mansion, located at 15315 Mountain Crest Cr Haymarket, VA 20169 was valued by Prince William County Property Assessment to cost $850,000.
The said property was in the name of Pastor Mensah Otabil, Joy Otabil and rented out to a 60-year-old Barbara A. Zimmer.
