Owusu Bempah Pays Reconciliatory Visit to Chief Imam
Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, whose Watchnight Service prophecies of the imminent deaths of some eminent persons in society sparked unpleasant reactions, has paid a reconciliatory visit to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, at his Fadama residence.
The National Chief Imam was among those Owusu Bempah called for fervent prayers for to avert their demise in 2019.
In a brief speech, Owusu Bempah told his hosts, including Alhaji Gado Mohammed, Chairman of the Chief Imam’s Advisory Board and the renowned Dr. Amin Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of Amen Scientific Herbal hospital, that he had come to express gratitude to the peace-loving and fatherly Chief Imam for his timely intervention in the euphoria that followed his prophecy.
He said the Chief Imam’s intervention showed him a man full of love for Ghana, and that without his call for peace, it could not have fathomed the aftermath.
Owusu Bempah called the Chief Imam his father, saying his visit to him only marks the beginning of many further visits and asked for God’s blessings for him and all assembled.
In the company of Rev. Owusu Bempah was a former Minister of Health, Mr. Samuel Nuamah Donkor, who described himself as a father to Owusu Bempah, and two elders (Council members) of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry.
The 31st night pronouncements saw some youths angrily storming the Odorkor branch of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, tearing down doors and windows, a billboard of Owusu Bempah and shattering glass windows.
They warned the prophet to apologise for denigrating the Chief Imam or be visited with worse.
The police have since announced the arrest of one of the leaders of the attackers whom they say they have granted bail.
