My Collaboration with Secular Artistes Pleases God – Lady Prempeh
Award-winning Ghanaian gospel songstress, Lady Prempeh, has stated that her collaborations with secular artistes was pleasing to God.
Lady Prempeh featured Hiplife artiste, Asem and Lynx Entertainment’s Richie on her song, Odo Yi Wohe in 2008 and also collaborated with Praye on their song, Tetebotan.
Speaking on Hello FM in Kumasi as part of her radio tour to promote her new single Enka Ho Da, the singer told Dave Hammer on Hello Entertainment Review, “I don’t think God had a problem with Odo Yi Wohe because the lyrics in the song were praising God.
“There were no foul words in the song and that is all that matters. God looks at the heart and not the individual singing the song.”
Lady Prempeh stated that she intends to feature more secular artistes on her upcoming songs.
“I don’t see anything wrong with featuring secular artistes on my songs provided the secular artistes are coming with clean lyrics,” she said.
She disclosed that Kuami Eugene is the next artiste she wants to feature on her new single which will be released on April 15.
“This young guy is very talented I can win a lot of souls through him,” she added.
After about seven years of silence, Lady Prempeh returned with new songs; apart from Enka Ho Da, there is Aseda, all off her upcoming album, which will be the fourth.
Her new blonde look, which she says is from a music video has attracted some criticism from the public but Lady Prempeh said she loves it.
The 2005 Ghana Music Awards New Gospel Artiste of the Year said her new album will drop soon and urged Ghanaians to get their copy.
