I’m Never Going Back to ‘Slavery’ – Former Highlife Musician Kesse
Former highlife musician, Kesse, who is now a gospel musician has likened secular music to slavery.
According to the gospel musician, he has been mandated by God to win souls through gospel music hence wouldn’t go back to doing secular songs which make no impact for him.
“Growing up, prophets prophesied about this so it’s been something that has been said and the time has come for it to come to pass so I have to be obedient and listen to his call. I am never going back to the world (slavery),” he stated.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s entertainment show, Tete-a-Tete, the musician said his decision to be a gospel singer was a direction from God.
“I turned to Christ because he created us to serve him. I don’t need something bad to happen to me before I run to Christ. His word says we should remember him in our youth. It was very difficult for me to take this bold step,” he added.
