I Never Said NPP have Neglected Me – Great Ampong: Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, one of Ghana’s renowned gospel artistes, has debunked reports that he had said the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has neglected him.
Great Ampong, speaking in an interview on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360 show with Tony Best, revealed that, contrary to reports, he hasn’t told anyone that the NPP has neglected him.
“I read the story too and didn’t get bothered to respond because one of Ghana’s former Presidents told me not respond to any story I hear about me if I know it isn’t true and due to that I have stayed mute when I heard that allegation,” he said.
The gospel musician explained that “I remember I granted an interview to one blogger and [he] just twisted the story and even brought my children in the conversation which wasn’t part.”
Great Ampong used the interview to talk about his new single – Corona Virus – which is dedicated to the deadly Covid-19 fight.
The song advises Ghanaians on the need to use sanitizers and also to pray to God who is ‘Nyametizer’ because the pandemic can only be cured by God.
Over the years Great Ampong has teamed up with some past contestants of Ghana’s hit music reality show TV3 Mentor including Isaac the Showboy, Erico, and Cee release amazing hit tracks.
