Eastwood Anaba Admonished Me to Go Back to School – Obaapa Christy
Celebrated gospel musician Reverend Obaapa Christy, has disclosed on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, she did not further her education after completing junior high school.
The musician in exclusive interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua on the mid-morning show on Wednesday disclosed further that, she could also go for her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results because she knew she had failed miserably.
Obaapa Christy indicated that, she knew she had failed because the answers she provided for the questions in all the subjects were nothing to write home about.
The musician told the host she was a dull or an intelligent student during her days in junior high school. She has however disclosed she is willing to pursue an adult education in order to upgrade her knowledge.
Obaapa Christy said, ‘’I only answered the objective questions and did not attempt the written questions because I could not write anything,’’ she noted.
The musician also noted that, she believes she did not go to school to pursue knowledge but went to school in order to heal people through music.
Mathematics she added was her favourite subject and was exceptionally good but ”I hated the other subjects especially dictation”.
‘’I knew I went to school because of music because anytime there was an opportunity for worship and praises, I was the one who was called to do it.
When people were sick, I was the one who prayed for them to be healed.’’ Obaapa Christy said, ‘’if I became learned, what I would have done would have been strange. However, I am ready for school.
My management has underscored the need for me to continue my education. Reverend Eastwood Anaba has also admonished me to go back to school.
I am ready to go back to school,’’ the musician stated. Obaapa Christy was in January this year ordained as reverend minister in the Uinited States of America.
The ordination took place on 17th December, 2017 at Divine Prayer Line at Sprinfield, Virginia – USA by Bishop Dr. Adonteng Boateng.
She had left for the United States of America for a three-day convention at the church when the ordination took place. The musician currently has eleven albums to her credit.
