Don’t Integrate Your Marital Life With Your Music Career – Joyce Blessing
Gospel Dynamo, Joyce Blessing had urged other gospel performers not to involve their spouse in their musical endeavors.
She claims that the drama surrounding her first marriage taught her a lesson the hard way.
The gospel superstar advised fellow gospel colleagues on Larry Bozzlz’s Time With The Star” on CTV, that in order to keep your music profession sane, it is necessary to keep your husband or partner away from it or, even better, enter into a legally binding contract with him.
Unbreakable stated that “gospel artists should go into contract with their husband or partner and never engage their marital issues with their music career,” which was her justification for adopting the “no husband in my music career” rule.
The well-known singer, who went through a contentious divorce from her former manager and husband Dave Joy, has said that she hasn’t heard from God about going back to her “first love.”
When ‘Time With The Star’ host Larry Bozzlz questioned Joyce about if she was ready to mount a return with her ex-husband, Joyce responded negatively, citing the lack of communication.
“If a command comes from God, I will obey it… God has not instructed me to rekindle any love. I haven’t heard anything from him about that, and I’m confident that this voice will never appear. She said, trying to contain her anger at her divorce, “If it was meant to be, I would have heard it long ago.
Joyce expressed her gratitude to God and her supporters for their help.
