“Grateful” was written in early 2023; with the inspiration of showing gratitude for the most precious sacrifice, the death of Christ on the cross for our salvation. It is a rapidly spreading tune appreciated by all who enjoy meaningful and edifying gospel music with a base in Afrobeat.
Real name Dr Prince Chigoziri Onyeaghala but popularly known by his stage name DR-P, is a Nigerian-Swedish singer and songwriter; actively practicing as a resident doctor in family medicine and running a private medical consulting firm in Sweden. Born in Lagos state Nigeria whilst hailing from Owerri in the South-East of Nigeria; DR-P started singing at a tender age of 5; singing in both his church and school choirs and later in his teenage years playing the drums and guitar.
He is a fast rising independent artiste on the gospel scene in Europé; looking to break grounds in the Nigerian gospel scene. Described by many as a silky toned singer with a fresh unique blend of Afrobeats, rnb and gospel; he describes his music style as gospel music grounded in his proud African heritage.
He aims to use his platform as a medical practitioner and musician to spread the good news of salvation through Christ; why he goes with the slogan “DR-P with the gospel”.
