Her first and only Grammy nomination was in 2016 for Best New Artist prior to the 2019 awards. And now Tori Kelly can claim not one but two Grammy Awards to her name – winning Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Song on Sunday.
The 26-year-old songstress struggled to wipe the smile off of her face following her win.

The singer stepped out in a black strapless number by Paule Ka, which stylist Siena Montesano completed with Roger Vivier heels.
Although it’s a minimalist look, it still makes a statement, and you can’t get more classic than a black maxi dress, right? We love the fitted silhouette, plus the thigh split makes for a sexy finish and is great for showing off the heels.
Sadly, the dress is bespoke so it’s unavailable to buy, but click (right) to shop the designer’s current collection at Farfetch.

Tori Kelly attended the ceremony stunning in a strapless black dress that featured a very high slit up one side.
The frock had an embellished bow and was of a straight cut design.
She teamed the look with a par of closed toe heels and kept her accessories to a statement diamond necklace and a dainty silver bracelet.
Tori graced the carpet with her husband Andre Murillo on Sunday evening.
Andre matched his wife dressed head-to-toe in a black ensemble.
He opted for no tie bow-tie rather kept his shirt open underneath his suit jacket.
Tori Kelly and Andre announced their engagement in September 2016 and officially tied-the-knot in May 2018.
‘To have and to hold… to cherish and protect. My best friend said ‘yes’,’ the NBA Basketball player captioned a sweet photo at the time of their engagement.
Walking up to receive her award on Sunday evening, she said she’d dreamed about her Grammy winning moment since she was a kid.
Winning best Gospel Song, Tori Kelly thanked her husband, Kirk Franklin, her team including manager to Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, Scooter Braun, before saying: ‘This is insane. I’m going to go freak out now.’
And the celebrations weren’t over for the star, also taking home the award for Best Gospel Album for Hiding Place.
‘It’s going to take a minute for me to process this,’ she began.
