Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s “Break Every Chain” Goes Platinum!
Congratulations are in order for Tasha Cobbs Leonard as her “Break Every Chain” single goes Platinum – for selling 1 million equivalent units, with 843 million streams and counting.
The multi-award winning gospel songstress was presented the RIAA Platinum Award at the Full Gospel Baptist 26th International Conference being held in Nashville, Tennessee by representatives from her label Motown Records.
Released in 2012 from her major-label debut studio album Grace (2013), “Break Every Chain” topped the Billboard Gospel Songschart in 2012, as well as the corresponding digital and airplay gospel charts.
The song also managed to peak at number thirty-five on the Billboard Holiday Songs chart and twenty-nine on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart.
At the 56th Grammy Awards, the song won a Grammy for “Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance”.
Cobbs performed the song at the 44th GMA Dove Awards in October 2013.
