I believe in Prosperity With All My Being – Benny Hinn Clarifies
Televangelist Benny Hinn has clarified an earlier stance on prosperity which was understood to mean a renunciation of it.
Ministering at The Maker’s House Chapel International on Friday, he said he believes in prosperity more than anyone can ever know.
According to him, this stand is rooted in what the bible says.
“I am speaking here as God’s servant. A few weeks ago I made a statement that went viral about prosperity.
“I believe in prosperity more than you people know. I believe it with all my being because it is in the bible,” he told thousands of worshippers.

Speaking to his followers during a Facebook Live broadcast some three weeks ago (which was first highlighted by Larry Reid Live), Pastor Hinn, who has long been criticized for his support of the theology, declared the Gospel “is not for sale.”
“I’m sorry to say that prosperity has gone a little crazy and I’m correcting my own theology and you need to all know it. Because when I read the Bible now, I don’t see the Bible in the same eyes I saw 20 years ago,” Hinn said as his followers rejoiced.
The message of pastor Hinn did not only go viral but generated debate and reactions from the Christian fraternity.
Rev Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, who is also a Professor in Pentecostal/Charismatic Theology, said the televangelist must back his call with some symbolic act of restitution – although he will not suggest any such act.
”Frankly, I am a bit sceptical about the so-called confession that he has made,” he told the host of the magazine programme, Daniel Dadzie.
On his part, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams seen as the father of the Charismatic movement in Ghana has cautioned pastors and church leaders against monetizing the gospel.
In an interview with Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, he explained that the practice in the church where pastors always solicit for a specific amount of money from their members in exchange for God’s blessings is “zeal without knowledge.”
On Friday, Benny Hinn went ahead to prophesy prosperity on the worshippers.
He said they will never lack again.
“The lord is going to do something now that is going to release you from lack. I know it is the spirit. You will never lack again,” he said to rapturous applause.
