Donald Trump Prays With Restaurant Worker While On Campaign Trail
Former US President Donald Trump was spotted praying with a restaurant worker while on a campaign trail stop in South Carolina.
Mr Trump stopped by Zesto in West Columbia on Saturday and asked one of the workers at the till if she would recommend the food.
The woman said she would, and asked him if she could pray for him.
Mr Trump obliged, saying “Go ahead”.
In a video posted on social media, the worker is seen praying with him, while holding a mobile phone appearing to record the encounter.
She also held his hand, while Mr Trump placed his hand on her shoulder.
In the 15 second video the employee could be heard praying that God will help him “in this presidency”.
The video amassed 1.6 million views in less than 48 hours.
South Carolina is the first state the former president visited since announcing his bid to reclaim the White House in 2024.
“I’m more angry now, and I’m more committed now, than I ever was,” Trump told a small crowd at the New Hampshire Republican Party’s annual meeting in Salem, before heading to Columbia, South Carolina.
In Columbia, Trump spoke to around 200 people in the state’s capitol building, with Governor Henry McMaster and US Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina giving speeches in support of him.
