Provident Music Group Receives 50 GMA Dove Award Nominations
50 GMA Dove Award nominations: The Provident Music Group family of artists, labels, songwriters, publishers, and filmmakers are pleased to announce they received an astounding 50 GMA Dove Award nominations.
All nominees were announced today via Facebook Live for the 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards (50 GMA Dove Award), which will be held on Tuesday, October 15 in Nashville, TN at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena.
Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) is again set to air the awards on Sunday, October 20 at 8pm EST/5pm PST.
The top Provident Music Group nominees are Casting Crowns, Kirk Franklin, and Tauren Wells with four nominations each.
Casting Crowns is nominated for Song of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song, Pop/Contemporary Album, and Long Form Video, while lead vocalist Mark Hall is also up for top Songwriter/Artist.
Kirk Franklin is recognized for Gospel Artist, Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song (artist/writer), and Short Form Video, and Tauren Wells is nominated for Song of the Year, Contemporary Christian Artist, and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song (artist/writer). Additionally, Provident Films receives a nod for Inspirational Film for “Indivisible.”
Songwriters Ethan Hulse, Jason Ingram, and Paul Mabury lead the nominations for Essential Music Publishing. They are each nominated for Song, top Songwriter/Non-Artist, and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song, while Ingram and Mabury are recognized for Producer and Pop/Contemporary Album. Hulse is also nominated in the Worship Recorded Song.
