Ewura Abena Returns To Make 24th VGMAs Best New Artiste, Amid 3 Nominations
Indeed, ‘This far’ has the Lord brought her as gospel sensation Ewura Abena has received three nominations for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
Released on Saturday, March 18 by organisers Charterhouse Productions, the nominations saw This far by Ewura Abena make it not only for the Best Gospel Song category but also for the Songwriter of the Year category.

The Agye Me Nkwa composer was surprisingly named in the Best New Artiste category as well despite her many years of experience in the gospel fraternity.

In October last year, she released the highly-inspiring This far after years of break from music.
She had opened up on her suicidal thoughts and how she contemplated killing her two kids as well.

But the song has become an inspiration to many, not surprisingly being nominated as the Songwriter of the Year.
The 24th VGMAs will be held on Saturday, May 13 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
