Joyce Blessing (Personality Profile)
Early Life: Joyce Blessing Unbreakable was born to Mr Christopher Kwabena Twene and Mrs Gladys Yaa Kyewaa on 15th May At Accra, Ghana.
Though a bono by tribe, she grew up with other siblings who were all raised by their mother in the Ashanti Region of Ghana where she had her primary school and Junior High School education.
Joyce had always had an endearment for music and hence started singing in the church at an early age of 14 and also made sure she never missed musical concerts held at her vicinity when she was young even when her mother tried to prevent her from attending these functions.
Music career
Joyce Akosua Blessing, known by the populace with stage name Joyce Blessing is a Ghanaian based Gospel hit-maker who has over the years pulled herself by the “crupper” as a backing vocalist to a multifarious award winning gospel minister.
She sharpened her live performance artistry when she was part of the “See Them Band” group in Kumasi, Ghana where she played for five years aside being a backing vocalist for the likes of Evangelist Diana Asamoah, Jewel Ackah, Mary Ghansah, Ernest Opoku Jnr, Aseibu Amanfi and a host of other great musicians in Ghana.
The gospel crooner has graced so many reputable platforms in Ghana and abroad as well with her implausible stage artistry which always leaves patrons in nostalgia.
Joyce Blessing Unbreakable was signed to one if Ghana’s fastest growing record labels Zylofon Music in June,2017 and has released two singles La Mia Praise and I Swerve You which are doing well under the record label.

Joyce Blessing unleashed her first album dubbed ” Obi Ntu Nyame Fo” which translates in English as ” Nobody Advises God” in 2007 which was implausibly accepted worldwide and since then has never looked back as a great minister.
Joyce Blessing Unbreakable shot to fame in the year 2013 after she unleashed her “Monko Moakyi” song,a single off her Heavy Price album comprising of other hits singles like , Kantamanto Nyame, Blessed Be The Lord, Nyame Aguamma and more under the management of Media Excel Productions and ended the year on a glorious note winning several awards at the Adom FM organized Ghana Gospel Industry Awards.
In 2015, her management Media Excel Productions handed her over to her husband Dave Joy where she was managed under Dave Joy Productions and released her 5th Studio album “Agyebum” in April 2017 which earned her several nominations in the 2017 National Gospel Awards where she won the Best Praise Song of the Year Award and again won an award at the 2017 4syte Music Video Awards for the Best Gospel Music Video of the Year with her visuals shot for the “Lord’s Prayer single”.
Personal life
Ghanaian gospel singer Joyce Blessing Unbreakable has named her child after the founder and leader of the Glorious Waves Church International Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi.
Blessing and her husband Dave Joy welcomed their son towards the tail end of last year, but he was christened only this past Sunday at the church’s main auditorium.
With the prophet presiding, their son was named Denali Obrempong Badu Kobi.
Controversies
There have been a lot of backlash directed towards gospel musician, Joyce Blessing for performing with secular musicians at the S-concert 2017. There has been another twist to her whole performance at the event and as usual, people have taken to their social media pages to blast the artiste for performing songs of other artistes.
It is reported that Joyce did not perform a single song of her own at the event as if she had no song to her name. Almost all the songs she performed were songs of other artistes.
In 2017, Christmas Day, Joyce Blessing and her team were involved in the ghastly accident in Nsawam while they were on their way to Kwahu in the Eastern Region for the ‘Bliss on the Hills’ festival.
The accident left the gospel musician’s four-wheel drive badly mangled but many believed that the incident was a publicity stunt. Gospel musician Joyce Blessing says sh is not perturbed by the numerous controversies that have rocked reports about her near-fatal accident on Christmas Day in 2017.
In 2017, Joyce Blessing and Media Excel Production headed by Kwasi Ernest went their separate ways. She bitterly expressed one of her most embarrassing experiences where Kwesi Ernest charged a huge amount from a client and told her a different amount.
She was very embarrassed when the client showed her evidence at the end of her argument with the client.
Joyce Blessing also stated that, her ordeal with Media Excel is not something she will deny at this point. According to her, Kwesi Ernest has also connived with known presenters and DJs to blacklist her songs on radio.
“How can you say I have released three albums without getting them to the limelight? That literally means Zylofon has made a big mistake for signing me. I have never talked ill about you but you always paint me black to everyone.” Joyce Blessing Unbreakable retorted, referring to Kwasi Ernest.
“Dave and I took loans from people to invest in my career. We provided physical cash in brown envelops, Ernest was not a part of it. “I can boldly say that the number of times Media Excel has taken me to the studio to recrd is less than three times. Kwesi Ernest only knows media representatives.” She added.
The CEO of Media Excel Productions, Ernest Kwesi Ennin in an interview with Graphic Showbiz slammed most Ghanaian artistes who parted ways with their record labels at the time they were doing so well to establish their own label or join a new label.
Mr. Ennin told Graphic Showbiz, it is a bad decision for artistes doing so well in their endeavours to walk away from your winning team. According to Kwesi Ernest, there are countless examples of artistes whose careers suffered after they left the record labels that brought them into the limelight.
IN August 2017, Zylofon Media new gospel artiste, Joyce Blessing Unbreakable, has revealed that her recent interview with Delay, host of the Delay Show was edited by the TV show host for her [Delay] own parochial interest.
Explaining what actually happened on set which is on the blind side of the public, Joyce Blessing Unbreakable shares how Delay bullied her on set with ‘agenda-set’ making Joyce’s husband who was on set, ask the host to halt the interview at some point.
According to the sensational gospel Musician, Delay’s reason for editing the part she denigrated her and the husband was to tarnish her reputation.

Achievements
Joyce Blessing as part of her gospel ministry has set up a charity foundation she donates to the deaf and blind, accident victims, and the mentally challenged individuals in the Ghanaian society.
On May 15th 2017, The “Boot 4 Boot” crooner on her birthday yesterday 15th May, visited the School of Deaf and Blind in Cape Coast with her management team to have a graceful celebration with the entire school populace as they were beauteously welcomed by the school authorities and students on arrival.
Zylofon signee, Joyce Blessing, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, which was her birthday, paid a surprise visit to the Akropong School for the Blind, donating mouth-watering items to the students.
The birthday celebrant, Joyce Blessing Unbreakable, used the occasion to launch her foundation christened: “Joyce Blessing Help Me Grow Foundation,” as she promised to support the school with five recorded songs and a music video.
The VGMA nominee also affirmed to feature one of the blind students on her latest song. Items donated to the school included bags of rice, soft drinks, washing soaps et al and an undisclosed amount of money.
