Cecilia Marfo is renowned gospel musician and a Great Worshiper of Christ. She doubles as a Prophetess of God and an Evangelist.
Cecilia also added that times were bad to the extent that she and her family could not attend any local church in their area simply because she wanted to beg for money from other churches.
Cecilia did not have support in the early stages of her musical career, so most of her previous albums were only popular in and around Kumasi in the Ashanti region, specifically in Bompata where she spent most of her life.
To make matters worse for her, Cecilia said that, she visited some churches to sing for them, but because she was looking so rugged the church did not allow her to perform, but today, churches are calling on her to grace their temples.
Cecilia who performed her breakthrough hit ‘Afunuba’ among others on The Rundown was very optimistic that the door has opened and no matter how the devil tries it will not close.
Cecilia made it known that giving up in life is not the key but keeping on keeping on in whatever clean business you are involved in is the answer.
Cecilia Marfo was born Kumasi in an area called Bompata in the Asafo Nfante Newtown. She was born in 20th November.
Music career
Cecilia Marfo is a female musician with a POWERFUL voice and is best known for her hit songs like, ‘Afunum Ba’ and “Mammire Angu.”
Cecilia maintained her faith in Christianity and remained loyal to her church and church activities until Esther Smith heard her sing at a church program and recommended her to a music producer, Cebex Music Production, who took interest in her talent and invested in her when things were hard for her.
Cecilia Marfo from then released her 9th album and titled it ”Faithfullness” which included the mega hit songs ”Afunumu Ba and Mammre Mamgu” She won alot of awards with this album including the Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Album of the year.
She was also nominated in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in two categories in the year 2013.

Shes married to Mr Clement Yeboah Adupedie with three children, two beautiful girls and a boy.
Gospel musician and prophetess Cecelia Marfo buried her mother Sophia Marfo on August 5 this year. The funeral service for the late happened at Sewia-Prabon in the Ashanti Region.
Madam Sophia Marfo passed away on July 1 after a short illness. She died at the age of 83.
The deceased left behind seven children including gospel musician Cecelia Marfo who is the last-born. Cecelia Marfo is known for hit songs like ‘Afunu Ba’, Osorie Ndwom and many others.
She also heads of Osorie Fie Prayer Centre located on the Tema Akosombo Road.
Controversies
The C.E.O of CEBEX Music Production, Charles Sarpong has accused gospel musician Cecilia Marfo of being ungrateful as she has totally turned her back on him after he helped her become famous. Speaking on Adom FM, the music producer said after he made huge investments to make Cecilia famous, she does not even return his calls. “After promoting and investing in her music, Cecelia Marfo has failed to show me gratitude” he bemoaned. Cebex as he is popularly called added that through his hard work and massive investment, Cecilia Marfo’s song won the Best Gospel Song of the Year in the 2011 MTN Ghana Music Awards yet “she has turned her back on me”. Mr. Sarpong said musicians should not forget that before their songs become a hit and they take the glory for it, there are music producers. “I’m nobody to her but I don’t blame her because the fans out there know her better than me” he said.
Another controversy is that news circulated in some time past that renowned gospel musician, Cecilia Marfo, was suspended from her church (Ashaiman Area branch of the Church of Pentecost).According to reports, this action was taken against the musician because she flouted the church laws which do not permit any member of the church to establish a prayer camp outside the church. Cecilia Marfo was suspended for operating a prayer camp whiles the husband on the other hand was suspended for supporting his wife and defending her action in the media.
Cecilia Marfo and Brother Sammy Controversies: Cecilia Marfo, a gospel artiste, and Prophetess staged a gospel concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi which got many people talking about it due to an incident that happened between the prophetess and the singer, Brother Sammy. In a viral video, Cecilia Marfo was captured taking off a necklace worn by Brother Sammy and strictly warned him to desist from acts that are ungodly so God can use him for great works.In the video, Cecilia Marfo was as well seen subjecting Brother Sammy to some slaps during the deliverance.Earlier, management of the of the Nation’s Worshiper denied the Prophetess slapped and delivered him. However, the manager of Brother Sammy has made a sudden u-turn, saying Cecilia Marfo indeed slapped his artiste and claimed she was delivering him from evil spirits.He indicated that, Cecilia Marfo has no power to deliver anyone from evil spirits hence she Kofi Nkosuor will slap Cecilia Marfo back should she try it the next time.“Cecilia Marfo is not Jesus; she has no power to deliver anyone from evil spirits. I will slap her back should she try it on me”. Kofi disclosed to Hello FM.

Achievements
Renowned gospel musician Cecilia Marfo over the weekend celebrated Mothers’ Day with Orphans in the Central Region of Ghana on the (13th May, 2017).
Cecilia Marfo and her congregants at the Cecilia Marfo Worship Conference Centre Osorie Fie to be precise decided to visit orphans in a village around Gomoa Fetteh to celebrate the day with the Children.
According to Cecilia Marfo, the fact that those children are not the biological children of us, does not mean people should neglect them but make sure, if they eat, those children will also eat.
Cecilia Marfo and family presented to the Orphanage home with items worth over 10,000.00 which included Seven Rice of Bags, bottles of cooking oil, soaps, toiletry washing powders, soft drinks among others together with a physical cash of a Ghc.1,000.00 and also promised to be visiting them all the time.
